Captains Message
A Message from the 2023 Captain (Photos to be Updated)
Mr Lol Hodgson
I would like to start my message to the membership by thanking Joe Walton, for the nomination, privilege, and honour of becoming captain of Teesside Golf club in 2023. I also thank the members for their support and vote at the AGM.
As work continues on the course, we have seen lots of trees removed from behind the 12th green and the side of the 7th tee, this work will continue on other parts of the course as needed. The greens were sand injected twice last year with noticeable improvement, this will be repeated in April and August of this year, (volunteers needed)
This year my chosen charity will be Prostate Cancer UK. I would like to try and raise as much money as I can from various functions throughout the year and look forward to your support.
We have a great and friendly club at Teesside with a fantastic course, a wonderful club house and members who are friendly and welcoming both on and off the course. We are all aware there is still work to do in modernising the clubhouse, hopefully the budget will allow this to continue in 2023.
If anyone has any questions or queries, regarding competitions, house or greens matters, please approach the relevant members of the committee, as they should be able to provide adequate answers.
I would like to thank Peter Scott for accepting my invitation of being Vice-Captain this year and I wish the Ladies Captain Miss Barbara Inman and the Junior Captain Harley Smith a great year.
To all our members I wish you all the best for a great year and even better golfing.
I would also like to welcome our new golf professional Mike Pilgrim to Teesside Golf club and wish him and his team a successful year in 2023.
Thanks to all of our sponsors for 2023. Your continued support it is very much appreciated. Best of luck in our annual Sponsors Cup.
