Captains Message
A Message from the 2024 Captain (Photos to be Updated)
Mr Peter Scott
I want to express my sincere gratitude to Lol Hodgson for nominating me as the club Captain for 2024. With the support of the Greens team and my fellow committee members, I'm confident that this year will be a resounding success for our club.
We've already kicked off several course improvement projects for 2024, including renovations to the 1st tee, the installation of a new fountain, enhancements to the 7th Tee box, and the removal of the bridge on the 10th hole, among others. With the collective effort of our green staff, members, sponsors, and volunteers, I anticipate even more enhancements throughout the year.
I'm thrilled to see the enthusiasm among our members for serving on the committee. It's a testament to the passion we all share for our wonderful club!
One of my goals for the year is to tee off with as many different members as possible. If you spot my name on the BRS, please don't hesitate to join me for a round. I value hearing your opinions and ideas on how we can further improve the course. For those who can't join me on the course, feel free to approach me directly or drop me an email at peter@scottbros.com with any suggestions you may have.
I extend a special thanks to Paul Hutchinson for accepting the role of vice-captain. Paul and his team put in a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes, often without recognition. Let's rally behind them this year and offer our support in any way we can.
This year, I have chosen three charities that hold special significance to me: The Butterwick Hospice (www.butterwick.org.uk), The Headlight Foundation (www.headlightproject.org), and The South Cleveland Heart Fund (www.schf.org.uk). Each of these charities will be hosting golf days here at Teesside, and I urge all members to show their support in any way possible. Whether it's putting together a team or spreading the word on social media, every little bit helps these organisations carry out their incredible work in the Teesside area and beyond.
