2025 Club Charity

Paul Hutchinson our club captain has chosen The Rob Burrow Centre for MND as his charity for 2025.
Rob played rugby for Leeds Rhinos for 16 years until 2017. Sadly, in December 2019 he was diagnosed with MND. Since 2019 many of you may have seen the fundraising carried out by himself and former Leeds Captain Kevin Sinfield on TV. Sadly, Rob died June 2024 and unfortunately didn’t get the chance to see the new centre open which is due to be completed this summer. Funds will always be needed to run the hospital and carry out vital research into this devastating disease.

Rob was someone who faced challenges throughout his rugby career due to his size (5’5”). Once retired he had to deal with the worst possible challenge with a life ending illness. Throughout his life he remained positive and fought every day until his death. He has inspired me during this time when I faced personal challenges which forced me to be medically retired as a Police Officer. This is the reason I have chosen this charity.

Thanks in advance for your support and look out for my fund raising events!
